Job Summary
This hybrid role (up to two days remote) focuses on the development, operation, and automation of internal and customer-facing IT infrastructure for a software solutions provider specializing in ERP systems for industrial SMEs. The engineer will be responsible for the administration and optimization of Linux and Windows systems, managing the OGS Private Cloud, and establishing robust monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions using tools like Prometheus and Grafana. Key daily tasks include automating deployments, system tasks, and build pipelines (e.g., Jenkins), optimizing PostgreSQL databases, and providing technical support for complex system issues. This position is ideal for a proactive professional who enjoys combining system operations, automation, and technical consulting, with an active role in advancing DevOps processes and integrating future technologies like AI-supported monitoring.
Required Skills
Education
Completed IT apprenticeship or degree (e.g., IT Specialist for System Integration, Computer Science, or comparable)
Experience
- Professional experience in administering Linux systems
- Experience in Windows Server administration (ideally)
- Experience in at least one of the following areas: Monitoring & Observability, CI/CD & Build-Pipelines, Databases, or Scripting & Automation
- Readiness to learn new topics such as containerization and AI-supported processes
