Job Summary

This role is for a motivated Data Acquisition Specialist to join the NUSTAR experimental program at GSI/FAIR in Darmstadt, Germany. The specialist will be responsible for the full lifecycle of NUSTAR's Data Acquisition (DAQ) and slow control systems, from development and implementation (including procurement, installation, and commissioning) to ongoing maintenance and operation. A key part of the role involves providing expert support and advice to internal and external NUSTAR groups on integrating detector systems into the DAQ. This position offers the unique opportunity to contribute to world-leading scientific research within a large, international collaboration at one of the leading particle accelerator facilities, working on the new FAIR project.
