Job Summary

This part-time (50%) Postdoctoral position at Philipps University Marburg involves providing scientific services in research and teaching within the Single Cell Multiomics Core Facility, focusing on translational inflammatory research. The successful candidate will be responsible for advising cooperation partners on the experimental and biometrical planning of single-cell experiments, practically executing single-cell sequencing assays, and performing bioinformatics analysis of single-cell and bulk transcriptome data. This role is a fixed-term qualification position designed to facilitate the acquisition of further scientific competencies, offering the opportunity for independent scientific work to support personal academic advancement. Key requirements include a completed PhD in Life Sciences, solid experience with single-cell and bulk transcriptome experiments (ideally using the BD Rhapsody System), and proficiency in R- and/or Python-based Single Cell Multiomics bioinformatics. The position offers access to state-of-the-art research facilities and a highly cooperative international research environment.

Experience

  • Professional experience in conducting single-cell and bulk transcriptome experiments
