Job Summary
This role involves serving as the control system architect for high-tech laser machinery used across the pharmaceutical, food, and automotive industries. The Automation Electronics Engineer will be responsible for the complete lifecycle of plant control systems, including electrical installation, complex cabinet wiring, and commissioning using Beckhoff TwinCAT 2/3. Key daily tasks include adapting existing software modules, optimizing Human-Machine Interface (HMI) surfaces, conducting internal functional tests, and performing final software commissioning and diagnostics both on-site at customer locations across Germany and via remote maintenance. Candidates must possess a background in automation electronics or mechatronics, profound experience with Beckhoff TwinCAT, and strong logical problem-solving skills to ensure hardware and software integration is seamless. The position offers work with modern PC-based Control systems and advanced laser technology within a supportive, flat-hierarchy team.
Required Skills
Education
Completed vocational training as an Automation Electronics Technician, Mechatronics Technician (with focus on electrical engineering), or comparable qualification (e.g., Technician)
Experience
- Professional experience in programming with Beckhoff TwinCAT
- Familiarity with EtherCAT, Structured Text (ST), and TwinSAFE
- Experience in electrical installation and commissioning of complex systems
- Experience with maintenance of circuit diagrams (e.g., in EPLAN)
