Job Summary

This role is based in Quality Assurance at j-fiber GmbH, a leading European provider of optical glass fibers for data transmission. The primary responsibilities involve supporting the fiber measurement room operations. Day-to-day tasks include loading fiber spools onto measurement devices, determining test values, and meticulously documenting results using specialized fiber measurement equipment. The technician will also conduct continuous flow tests and splitting orders, perform final visual inspections of the fibers according to specifications, and prepare them for pre-packaging. Reporting and potentially resolving equipment malfunctions, alongside routine cleaning of measurement devices, are also key duties. The ideal candidate possesses technical understanding, manual dexterity, basic IT skills, and is prepared for shift work within a 3-shift system. Prior experience in quality assurance is beneficial.
