Job Summary

This Senior Accountant role in Leipzig offers a chance to actively shape financial processes within an internationally operating, mid-sized company. You will be responsible for conceptualizing, optimizing, and implementing internal accounting and financial procedures, while also serving as the Deputy Technical Lead for the Finance team. Day-to-day duties include independent handling of ongoing bookkeeping, managing internal and external accounting, and preparing crucial financial statements (monthly, quarterly, annual) according to HGB (German Commercial Code). You will also manage budget and liquidity planning, collaborate internationally on payment transactions, and prepare for audits. The ideal candidate must possess a commercial qualification (ideally as a Certified Accountant or Tax Clerk) or a university degree in Finance/Accounting, coupled with several years of professional experience. Proficiency in ERP systems, accounting software (like DATEV), and Excel is essential.
