Job Summary

This critical role involves taking group-wide responsibility for the management, coordination, and optimization of all aspects of information security within a dynamic international airport environment. Key day-to-day tasks include identifying and assessing risks, defining and enforcing IT security policies and procedures (aligned with BSI Basic Protection standards), and independently conducting and following up on security audits. The CISO will also actively lead and manage IT security projects from definition through execution. To succeed, candidates must possess a scientific university degree (Master's/Diplom) or equivalent higher education, coupled with extensive experience in IT management and IT security, particularly in building and operating an Information Security Management System (ISMS), implementing NIS 2, and handling EASA certifications. Strong leadership, decision-making, and fluent communication skills in both German and English are essential for this high-responsibility, permanent position.

Required Skills

Education

Completed scientific university degree (e.g., Master's, Diplom) or completed higher education from a recognized state university of applied sciences (FH) or professional academy.

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of practical experience in IT management
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in IT security (consulting, public authority, or commercial enterprise)
  • Experience in building, operating, and developing an ISMS
  • Experience in implementing NIS 2 and EASA certifications
  • Experience in successfully leading teams and projects
