Job Summary

This role involves conducting analytical measurements and analyses of biomolecules using various biophysical methods, such as NMR spectroscopy and ITC. The technician will be responsible for the recombinant expression and purification of proteins from biological matrices, including cell pellets, and performing sample preparation for cell culture and cultivating microorganisms. A key part of the job is the independent documentation and evaluation of measurement data using various computer programs, along with conducting literature searches and managing procurement. Candidates should possess a completed qualification as a Chemical Laboratory Technician or equivalent, coupled with at least one year of professional experience applying biophysical methods. Strong IT skills for data evaluation and good proficiency in both German and English (B1 level) are required. Completed training as a Chemical Laboratory Technician or comparable qualification in the natural sciences

Experience

  • At least one year in the application of biophysical methods
  • Experience in biomolecule analysis using biophysical methods (NMR, ITC, MS)
  • Experience and knowledge in recombinant expression of peptides/proteins (Ideal)
