Job Summary

The Senate Department for Urban Development, Building and Housing in Berlin is seeking a highly experienced leader to head the Geobase Information Systems Division. This critical role involves the comprehensive management of a department with over 30 employees, encompassing technical, personnel, and economic oversight. The Head will be responsible for the future-oriented development and strategic alignment of public surveying and Geobase Information Systems, ensuring compliance with national and European standards while meeting user requirements. Key responsibilities include leading and steering Geo-IT projects, managing procurement and contract negotiations (including EVB-IT contracts), and representing the State of Berlin in inter-state working groups and political decision-making bodies.
