Job Summary
The Senate Department for Urban Development, Building and Housing in Berlin is seeking a highly experienced leader to head the Geobase Information Systems Division. This critical role involves the comprehensive management of a department with over 30 employees, encompassing technical, personnel, and economic oversight. The Head will be responsible for the future-oriented development and strategic alignment of public surveying and Geobase Information Systems, ensuring compliance with national and European standards while meeting user requirements. Key responsibilities include leading and steering Geo-IT projects, managing procurement and contract negotiations (including EVB-IT contracts), and representing the State of Berlin in inter-state working groups and political decision-making bodies. This position requires extensive professional and leadership experience in IT project management and a Master's degree in Surveying/Geodesy, offering a secure, full-time position dedicated to shaping the growth and infrastructure of Germany's capital.
Required Skills
Education
Master's degree in Surveying/Geodesy or equivalent scientific university degree; or fulfillment of civil service requirements for the second entry level of career group 2, technical services, surveying branch.
