This role is for an experienced Enterprise Architect tasked with driving the strategic digital transformation of the IT landscape for the Passau District Administration Office, which supports a large network of over 800 workstations. The core responsibilities include the independent development, planning, and implementation of robust IT architectures, analyzing existing infrastructure for optimization potential, and integrating modern technologies such as Cloud Computing, Virtualization, Containerization, and Microservices. The Architect will collaborate closely with various departments and IT teams, provide consultation to municipal stakeholders on central IT topics, and lead or participate in complex IT projects. Candidates must possess a university degree in Informatics or a related field, coupled with several years of professional experience in IT architecture. Strong analytical skills, initiative, problem-solving capabilities, and fluent German communication are mandatory for success in this critical public sector position.
