Job Summary

The Dual University of Saxony (DHSN) is seeking a W2 Professor for Environmental Analysis and Environmental Engineering, primarily within the Laboratory and Process Engineering degree program at the Riesa State Study Academy. This full-time, permanent position, potentially leading to civil servant status, focuses on delivering scientifically grounded teaching in modules related to environmental analysis, environmental technology, and sustainability. Key responsibilities include designing and conducting lectures, seminars, and laboratory practicals, supervising student theses, and integrating modern environmental technology and digitalization into the curriculum. The successful candidate will also be expected to conduct independent, practice-oriented research, secure third-party funding, and actively participate in organizational and administrative duties such as curriculum development and quality assurance. This role requires significant professional experience outside academia and proven expertise in environmental fundamentals like air and water pollution control, plus competence in at least two specialized areas such as waste management or circular economy.
