Job Summary

The Risk Mitigation Expert plays a critical role in safeguarding Zalando and its customers against financial, legal, and reputational risks. This position involves joining a specialized team responsible for the final assessment and resolution of complex, sensitive customer cases, often escalated due to high risk or unresolved complexity related to topics like fraud prevention, GDPR compliance, and data privacy. Day-to-day tasks include conducting in-depth investigations, making sound judgments (sometimes outside standard protocols using specialized tools), and collaborating closely with expert stakeholders in Privacy Law and Fraud Prevention. You will also uphold quality standards by reviewing previous case handling and participating in 'four-eye principle' checks to ensure accuracy. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of experience handling customer escalations or fraud prevention tasks, combined with strong analytical skills and a commitment to discretion and integrity to maintain a secure and trustworthy environment.
