This Senior Engineer role focuses on hardware specialization within the highly innovative MedTech/Dental field, specifically involving the development and optimization of ceramic implants. The successful candidate will assume technical project leadership, managing scope, timeline, budget, and resources for complex development projects. Daily tasks include hands-on product development, construction, prototyping, test planning, and technical evaluation, while ensuring end-to-end Design Control compliance according to standards like ISO 13485. The role requires a strong background in regulated environments, including risk management (ISO 14971) and regulatory affairs (MDR/CE), and involves leading interdisciplinary teams spanning R&D, QA, and Production. Required Skills
Education
Completed degree in Mechanical Engineering, Medical Technology, Materials Science, Plastics/Ceramics Technology, or equivalent.
Experience
- Several years in product development (ideally MedTech/Dental)
- Professional experience in project management (planning, controlling, stakeholder management)
- Professional experience with verification, validation, and test methods
- Professional experience in development/optimization of ceramic implants
- Professional experience with ISO 14971, MDR/CE, possibly FDA/21 CFR 820
- Professional experience in Dental/Implantology (compatibilities, interfaces, clinical requirements)
