Job Summary

This role seeks a Medical Physics Expert or Medical Physicist to join the Medical Physics and Radiation Protection staff, initially on a two-year fixed-term contract. The primary responsibilities involve fulfilling the duties of a Medical Physics Expert in Nuclear Medicine, ensuring compliance with radiation protection laws, and acting as a Radiation Protection Officer. Day-to-day tasks include conducting regular physical-technical quality assurance, implementing and managing a dose management system, providing staff training, and optimizing radiation protection measures for both personnel and patients. Ideal candidates must hold a Master's degree in Medical Physics or a related scientific/technical field, possess strong self-organization skills, and be proficient in German. Experience or specialized knowledge (Fachkunde) in Nuclear Medicine radiation protection is highly desirable, as is familiarity with scripting languages for programming. Required Skills

Education

Master's degree or Diploma in Medical Physics, Physics, Medical Technology, or a comparable natural science/technical field. Specialized knowledge (Fachkunde) in Radiation Protection for Medical Physics Experts in Nuclear Medicine is desirable. Willingness to complete an accredited Master's or certificate distance learning program if the degree is not in Medical Physics.

Experience

  • Professional experience in fulfilling Medical Physics Expert duties in Nuclear Medicine (implied by Fachkunde requirement)
