Job Summary

This full-time position in Lüneburg is crucial for strengthening the IT infrastructure and security posture of a public sector organization. The System Administrator will be responsible for the continuous administration and monitoring of critical systems, including firewalls, security systems, and the overall network infrastructure. A significant part of the role involves developing and implementing robust security policies, managing the backup environment, and conducting regular Disaster Recovery tests. Furthermore, the administrator will act as the central liaison for external IT security service providers and will take on the team leadership role for the internal Security Team, supporting the department management. The role requires a completed university degree, preferably in Computer Science, coupled with several years of professional experience in IT security and infrastructure.
