Job Summary

This role involves establishing and managing a comprehensive digital energy management system for all municipal facilities within the Nuthe-Urstromtal municipality, located south of Berlin. Key responsibilities include procuring and implementing necessary software, metering technology, and sensors, conducting detailed consumption monitoring, and assessing the current energy and building physics status of municipal properties. The specialist will analyze weaknesses, develop optimization strategies, and propose structural energy-saving measures. A core function is the creation and annual update of energy reports for funding agencies and presenting these findings to political committees. The ideal candidate holds a degree in energy/building technology or a related technical field, possesses deep knowledge of energy systems and legal frameworks, and is proficient in MS Office. This is a full-time, fixed-term position until December 31, 2029, offering competitive public sector compensation and benefits.

Required Skills

Education

University/Applied Sciences degree in Energy and Building Technology, Energy Economics, Architecture, Civil Engineering, or a comparable technical-engineering discipline; OR State-certified Technician or Master in Refrigeration, Electrical Engineering (focus Energy Technology), Building Systems Technology, or HVAC Engineering.

Experience

  • Professional experience in energy efficiency measures for non-residential buildings
  • Multi-year professional experience in energy management and renewable energies (Beneficial)
  • Experience in project management (Beneficial)
