Job Summary

This role involves serving as a key Estimator, independently calculating costs for civil engineering and/or building construction projects. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing tender documents, bills of quantities, and construction plans, alongside determining material, personnel, and equipment costs. A core function is obtaining and evaluating subcontractor and supplier quotes, performing quantity take-offs, and creating detailed cost overviews and alternative proposals (Value Engineering). The ideal candidate holds a degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Technology, or an equivalent technical qualification (such as a Construction Technician or Master Craftsman), coupled with professional experience in construction estimating or work preparation. Success requires strong technical and economic understanding of construction processes, proficiency in standard estimating software and MS Office (especially Excel), and fluent German communication skills.
