Job Summary

The City Drainage Services of Frankfurt am Main is seeking a dedicated Head of Department to lead the 'Fundamentals, Development, and Property Drainage' division. This critical leadership role involves managing a team of 38 employees and overseeing a broad spectrum of responsibilities related to wastewater disposal, sewer network management, and water body development. Day-to-day tasks include defining and implementing strategic technical concepts for wastewater infrastructure, conducting complex data analyses, and making critical decisions on complex issues. The leader will also coordinate development projects, manage public relations across various municipal bodies, and ensure compliance with health and safety standards. Ideal candidates possess a Master's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering, extensive professional experience in development and property drainage, and proven leadership skills, ready to drive the sustainable future of Frankfurt's water systems.

Required Skills

Education

Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a comparable technical discipline, OR Bachelor's degree in the aforementioned fields combined with long-term professional experience in the specified functional area.

Experience

  • Long-term relevant professional experience and comprehensive expertise in development and property drainage
  • At least two years of proven and successful leadership experience
  • Experience in representing the organization externally, even on difficult topics
  • Experience in fulfilling tasks requiring a particularly high degree of responsibility
