Job Summary

This role is a critical position within the German Federal Parliament Administration, focusing on maintaining the operational readiness and functionality of the central control systems for building and energy management (HLZ/ELZ). The engineer will be responsible for overseeing the operation of all associated Management Control Units (MBE) and Automation Stations (AS), including planning maintenance, organizing repairs, and quickly resolving operational disruptions. A key part of the job involves optimizing energy consumption and implementing improvement suggestions for complex technological parameterization and programming. Furthermore, the role includes the technical supervision and leadership of subordinate staff, managing personnel deployment, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and conducting procurement processes, including technical evaluation of bids for new installations and extensions. This position offers a secure, permanent federal employment contract with competitive compensation (TVöD EG 12 or BBesO A 12) and benefits like flexible hours and a monthly allowance for working in a supreme federal authority.

Required Skills

Education

University of Applied Sciences Diploma (Dipl. FH) or Bachelor's degree in Automation Technology, Electrical Engineering, Plant Operations Technology, or Building Services Engineering (Versorgungstechnik), or comparable qualification.

Experience

  • Professional experience in building automation system programming is preferred
  • Professional experience in HVAC, refrigeration, and energy generation systems is preferred
  • At least three years of professional experience (required for salary group EG 12)
