Job Summary
This role is for an experienced Data Center Operations Manager to serve as the technical liaison between technology teams and the physical data center environments, focusing on core infrastructure and operational excellence. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining all operational aspects of assigned sites, troubleshooting complex infrastructure issues, and proactively monitoring environments using monitoring systems and ticket queues. Key responsibilities include conducting capacity audits, managing rack installations, ensuring adherence to 5S standards, and performing Root Cause Analysis (RCA). This individual contributor role requires familiarity with the entire Data Center ecosystem, including electrical and cooling systems, structured cabling, and change control processes. The position offers the opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge cloud services and requires a professional with strong technical expertise, a Dev Ops mindset, and the ability to travel within the Frankfurt region.
Required Skills
Education
Preferably educated in a related scientific or engineering discipline
Experience
- 5+ years of Data Center experience gained in either IT or Hosting
- 2+ years of Vendor management (e.g., LV vendor quality)
- In-depth knowledge of the Data Center ecosystem (cooling, electrical, networking, structured cabling)
- Experience with multi-node IT systems and their architecture
- Familiarity with Data Centre build, live operations management, and change control
