Job Summary

This role involves supporting the police department's operational capacity by ensuring the smooth and reliable functioning of all Information and Communication (IuK) systems. The specialist will be responsible for the installation, administration, and maintenance of IT systems and network technology, providing essential first- and second-level support to staff, and coordinating with external IT service providers. Key tasks include managing IP and mobile telephony, BOS digital radio devices, and contributing to the creation of technical operating concepts and documentation. The position requires a background in IT, such as a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or a vocational qualification in IT with several years of relevant professional experience. This is an excellent opportunity to utilize technical expertise to directly support law enforcement and public safety efforts, requiring strong communication skills and a high degree of responsibility and initiative.

Required Skills

Education

Bachelor's degree or comparable in Computer Science, Communications Engineering, or a comparable field, OR a completed vocational training in IT Specialist (Fachinformatik), IT System Electronics, or a comparable profession.

Experience

  • Professional experience in Information and Communication (IuK) if holding a vocational degree
  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience in Information and Communication (IuK) if holding a vocational degree or if an official in the General Service (A 9E, A 10, or A 11)

Languages

  • Mandatory possession of Class B driving license (Fahrerlaubnisklasse B).
