Job Summary

This hands-on technical role seeks a skilled Automotive Mechatronics Technician to manage the entire lifecycle of cutting-edge prototypes and test vehicles, including those featuring alternative drive systems. The core responsibilities involve building, modifying, and maintaining these complex vehicles, requiring extensive fault analysis and troubleshooting across mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical components. Day-to-day tasks include installing and removing major vehicle assemblies, conducting repairs and service work, and constructing specialized sample wiring harnesses and electronic circuits. Success in this role requires a completed vocational qualification as an Automotive Mechatronics Technician or Electrician, coupled with expertise in vehicle electrics and familiarity with key automotive data bus systems like CAN, LIN, and FlexRay. The position is attractive for proactive professionals who thrive on technical challenges, are proficient in diagnostic tools such as DAS, Monaco, and Xentry, and are willing to travel domestically and internationally to support vehicle testing.

Required Skills

Education

Completed training as Automotive Mechatronics Technician or Automotive Electrician. Advanced qualification (Master Craftsman/Technician) preferred.

Experience
