Job Summary

This role focuses on achieving seamless, secure interoperability between Operational Technology (OT) systems—specifically production plants—and the central Manufacturing Data Platform (IT) within a medium-voltage facility in Berlin. The expert will be responsible for reliable connectivity, data acquisition, and secure data transfer across the entire value chain. Key daily activities include coordinating with external machine manufacturers and automation partners, analyzing existing network topologies, and defining the target state for IT/OT integration. You will implement and optimize scalable data pipelines using industrial IoT technologies such as OPC UA, AWS IoT Core, and Node-RED, ensuring reliable transfer of machine data to the AWS target architecture. Furthermore, the role involves adjusting control systems (e.g., S7 in TIA Portal) to create robust data interfaces for analytical purposes and visualizing process data using Power BI and Grafana, all while maintaining strict security and compliance standards. This position is ideal for an engineer proficient in manufacturing logics and cloud-based industrial connectivity.
