Job Summary

This critical role involves establishing, developing, and maintaining a comprehensive Information Security Management System (ISMS) for the city administration, based on DIN-ISO 27001 and BSI IT-Baseline Protection methodologies. The specialist will work closely with the Chief Information Security Officer and departmental heads to draft security concepts, develop necessary regulations, and ensure their effectiveness. Key responsibilities include leading or participating in projects to implement security measures, conducting risk analyses, managing incident response, and implementing a suitable GRC tool for structured ISMS documentation. The ideal candidate must possess a relevant university degree (Bachelor's level minimum) in fields like Information Security or Computer Science, coupled with significant professional experience and relevant certifications (e.g., ISO IT-Security Officer or BSI IT-Baseline Protection Practitioner). This position offers a challenging, full-time, permanent role within a modern public service environment near Berlin.

Required Skills

Education

Successfully completed university degree (minimum Bachelor's level) in Information Security, Computer Science, Business Informatics, Electrical Engineering, Administrative Informatics, or comparable fields; OR comparable qualification level (DQR Level 6) in MINT subjects. Required acknowledged certification (e.g., ISO IT-Security Officer, BSI IT-Baseline Protection Practitioner/Consultant) or willingness to successfully obtain them.

Experience

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant and demonstrable professional experience in the IT or Information Security sector
  • Or 5 years of relevant professional experience in the IT or Information Security sector combined with a comparable qualification level (DQR Level 6) in MINT subjects
  • Demonstrable experience in project work (ideally as project lead) in IT/Information Security projects
  • Knowledge of Information Security Management Tools, ideally with application experience
