Job Summary
As a Systems Specialist, you will be responsible for the technical development and optimization of core network systems from a leading manufacturer throughout their lifecycle. This includes conceptualizing, testing, and implementing solutions using established processes, as well as developing lifecycle measures. You will independently design and develop solutions in Ethernet, IP, and MPLS technologies, document system releases, concepts, and configuration templates, and conduct training for colleagues. The role involves strategic responsibility for mapping network functions like BNG, CGN, and Firewalling, and continuously hardening systems with security in mind. You will evaluate and integrate technical systems such as SDN and NFV, always seeking new ITK industry trends, and drive the strategic development of the IP network structure and peering/transit concepts. Required Skills
Education
University degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Computer Science, or comparable education
Experience
- Several years of professional experience in the telecommunications or data communication environment
- Outstanding knowledge in IP Routing and Switching technologies and protocols (OSPF, BGP, MPLS)
- Comprehensive knowledge of Juniper MX/PTX/ACX/EX/SRX routing and switching platforms
- Experience with system technology from Nokia, Cisco, A10, and Arbor manufacturers (advantageous)
- Knowledge in Linux environments, NFV/SDN approaches, and virtualization platforms (ideal)
