Job Summary

This role is for an experienced Development Engineer specializing in Electrical Engineering and Power Electronics, working with a leading system provider for ships and submarines based in Kiel. The core responsibilities involve the full lifecycle development and design of power electronic assemblies, such as inverters and DC/DC converters, from initial concept through to serial production readiness. Day-to-day tasks include circuit design, dimensioning, ensuring EMC-compliant layouts, and creating manufacturing-ready PCB layouts. The engineer will also conduct rigorous simulations, analysis, and validation, including systematic debugging and testing using laboratory equipment. Key requirements include a degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, deep knowledge of power electronic circuit development, and familiarity with tools like Altium Designer and simulation software such as SPICE or PLECS.
