Job Summary
The Research Data Manager will play a crucial role in the 'CHANCEN-Verbund' project, focusing on the scientific support and research for the Startchancen program in German education. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing and maintaining the research data management concept and plan, coordinating data exchange with external partners, and overseeing the setup and technical administration of a central data hub, ensuring secure and efficient data transfers. A key part of the role involves coordinating the legal contracting and design for data transmission and usage, ensuring compliance with regulations like the GDPR. Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree and extensive practical experience in research data management conceptualization and implementation. The role requires strong organizational, service-oriented, and communication skills, along with an interest in educational research topics, particularly regarding equal opportunities in German education. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute actively to one of the largest scientific projects in educational research, working within an interdisciplinary team in Berlin.

Experience
- Comprehensive and overarching professional knowledge in the conception and implementation of research data management
- Experience with technical database systems, data standards, and data interfaces
- Knowledge of legal contracting for data exchange between multiple actors (advantageous)
- Knowledge of GDPR compliance (advantageous)
- Knowledge of approval procedures in the educational context (advantageous)
