Job Summary

This is a specialized, two-year fixed-term, part-time (50%) position within the Tübingen Regional Council, focusing on Water Management, Flood Protection, and River Ecology for the Neckar-Lake Constance region. The successful candidate will be responsible for the technical management of hydrological data, including verification, plausibility checks, and processing of flow and water level measurements. Key day-to-day tasks involve creating flow curves, coordinating with regulatory bodies (LUBW), and hands-on work with measurement technology, including installation, operation, maintenance, and testing. Additionally, the role involves managing simple construction projects related to modernizing surface water gauges, budget control, and participation in the critical flood readiness service. This role requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in engineering with a specialization in Water and Environment, along with technical understanding of hydrological measuring systems and sensor technology, offering a secure, varied, and responsible role in public service.

Experience

  • Basic knowledge of public procurement regulations (VOB, UVgO, VOL, VgV) (Advantageous)
  • Basic hydrological and hydraulic knowledge (Advantageous)
