Job Summary

This role involves leading and creatively shaping application-oriented research projects focused on cleaning and hygiene technology within a dynamic, interdisciplinary team. The Research Associate will be responsible for developing innovative, forward-thinking ideas, conducting interdisciplinary experimental planning, and collaborating closely with scientific and technical staff. Key daily tasks include extensive literature research to translate academic findings into practical project ideas, and actively contributing to the creation and submission of research proposals. The ideal candidate holds a scientific university degree (preferably a PhD or near completion) in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related field, possesses strong knowledge in organic chemistry, and has experience managing experimental research projects. This position offers the chance to actively influence the direction of future research and contribute expertise in a creative, industry-focused environment.

Required Skills

Education

Completed scientific university degree (M.Sc. equivalent) in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Biology, or a related field; Completed PhD or near completion (required)

Experience

  • Experience in managing experimental research projects, ideally in organic synthesis, polymer chemistry, or biochemistry
  • Experience in generating new research ideas (Advantageous)
  • Experience in creating research proposals (Advantageous)

Additional

  • Initial contract duration of two years (two one-year contracts), with the option for permanent employment; Compensation based on TVöD (Collective Agreement for the Public Service)
