Job Summary

This role involves the detailed design and construction of specialized fixtures required for rail vehicle manufacturing. Day-to-day responsibilities include creating 3D models using Creo 9, managing design data within PDMLink (Windchill), generating precise 2D technical drawings in AutoCAD, and handling material procurement and administration via SAP. The engineer will also be responsible for obtaining and evaluating quotes for manufactured components, supervising production, and ensuring comprehensive technical documentation is maintained. Key requirements include a qualification as a Technician or Master Craftsman, coupled with substantial experience in mechanical engineering and fixture design. Expertise in steel construction, metalworking, welding structures, and special machine construction is essential.
