Job Summary

This role involves taking ownership of the architecture, operation, and continuous development of the organization's central IT infrastructure and network hardware across data centers and remote sites (70 locations). A primary focus is maintaining a 'Security First' mindset, where you will identify and defend against cyber threats and contribute significantly to strategic security planning. Day-to-day responsibilities include the technical leadership of IT projects, managing external service providers, and mentoring junior colleagues to foster knowledge transfer within the team. The ideal candidate brings several years of professional IT experience, deep expertise in administering switches, firewalls, and WLAN infrastructures in an enterprise setting, and a strong drive for automation using scripts and tools. You will work with a modern tech stack including Forcepoint NGFW, Portnox, SD-WAN, and HPE/Aruba networking gear, ensuring the continuous improvement of the technical landscape within one of Germany's largest private education groups.
