Job Summary

Schmitt Engineering is seeking an experienced Project Engineer specializing in Electrical Building Technology to join their team. This role involves comprehensive technical planning and coordination for electrical building systems (EBS) within major HVDC, FACTS, and Power Generation projects. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing all building systems such as fire alarm, surveillance, intrusion detection, CCTV, small power, lighting, and lightning protection, as well as automating mechanical building technology and cabling systems. The successful candidate will collaborate with international teams, develop technical solutions based on client requirements, coordinate with internal and external partners, and provide technical support for sales, including cost calculations and concept development. This position requires a degree or comparable qualification in Electrical Engineering, significant professional experience in electrical building technology planning, and excellent proficiency in both German and English, making it ideal for a technically skilled professional looking for complex, long-term projects in a stable, mid-sized engineering firm.
