This role involves the critical configuration and setup of IEC61850 communication interfaces and specialized automation systems for HVDC projects. Day-to-day tasks include installing software in laboratory environments for debugging, maintaining structured interface definitions, configuring automation systems, and validating system functionality in hardware environments while supporting the wider team. The ideal candidate holds a degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Interface Technology, or Automation, coupled with professional experience in the HVDC field. Proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink and fluent German and very good English skills are essential for success in this challenging and rewarding technical role.
