Job Summary
This role involves working for the State Office for Occupational Safety, Consumer Protection, and Health (LAVG) in Brandenburg, ensuring health and safety through the enforcement of medical device regulations. The Inspector will independently execute administrative and technical tasks related to medical device law, primarily focusing on healthcare facilities within Brandenburg. Key responsibilities include planning and conducting risk-based official surveillance measures, monitoring compliance (including the reprocessing of sterile medical devices), drafting inspection reports, legally evaluating findings, and initiating necessary administrative or fine proceedings. The position requires a high degree of autonomy, strong enforcement skills, and a systematic approach to work. Approximately 40% of the work involves field service, requiring self-driven travel and effective communication skills to contribute to public welfare within a structured governmental environment.
Required Skills
Education
Successfully completed university of applied sciences degree (Fachhochschulstudium) in natural sciences, technology, or medicine, or a comparable qualification
Experience
- Knowledge of administrative law and relevant legal norms for medical devices
- Existing advanced training in Medical Device Law (or willingness to complete required multi-day training)
- Optional: Completed advanced training as Sterilization Assistant FK I or higher (DGSV) or equivalent experience

- Class B driving license (PKW-Führerschein) and willingness to drive official vehicles (Self-driving readiness) are advantageous.
