Job Summary

This permanent position seeks a highly skilled Quality Assurance Inspector or Technician to specialize in incoming goods inspection within the demanding aerospace and satellite technology sector. Day-to-day tasks involve performing detailed incoming inspections of critical devices and components, including circuit boards and complex optical assemblies like laser terminals. Key responsibilities include rigorous visual inspection of solder joints, splices, and bonds, ensuring strict adherence to technical drawings, bills of materials, and manufacturing specifications. The role requires verifying compliance with all production documentation and traceability rules, preparing assemblies for customer acceptance (MIP/FAI), and presenting them to the client. Furthermore, the inspector will document inspection results, create deviation reports, assist in troubleshooting and defect resolution, and execute necessary inventory bookings using SAP. The ideal candidate holds a technical qualification (e.g., Electronics Technician or Master Craftsman/Technician) and possesses significant professional experience in electrical/electronic quality assurance, preferably in aerospace or a related high-tech industry.

Required Skills

Education

Completed technical vocational training (e.g., Aircraft Electronics Technician, Electronics Technician for Devices and Systems, Mechatronics Technician, Industrial Electrician, etc.), or further qualification as a Master Craftsman or Technician, or comparable qualification.

Experience

  • Professional experience in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Electrical Systems, Mechatronics, or Automotive/Aerospace electrics/electronics
  • Professional experience in testing, inspection activities, quality assurance (QS), or quality management (QM)
  • Preferred experience in the Aerospace industry or the German Armed Forces (Bundeswehr)
  • Preferred knowledge of technical drawings, microscope handling, and ESA qualification standards (soldering/crimping)
