Job Summary

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated Research Associate to join the Institute of Pharmacy at the University of Greifswald, contributing to the newly established DFG-funded Collaborative Research Centre TRR 420 "CONCENTRATE." The role focuses on deciphering molecular and microbial processes that stabilize glycans in the ocean, combining laboratory experiments with field measurements. Specifically, you will work on Project TRAP (B02), investigating glycan-binding proteins on bacterial surfaces to understand their role in carbon sequestration. This interdisciplinary position involves protein production and purification, advanced structural analyses, and bioinformatic analyses. You will collaborate with international partners and have the chance to pursue a doctoral degree in marine microbiology and glycobiology, contributing to a better understanding of carbon fluxes in oceans.
