This role seeks a highly qualified Research Associate to contribute to the development and maintenance of high-performance power supply systems for the PETRA IV accelerator project. The successful candidate will utilize a strong background in electrical or information engineering, applying expertise in circuit and measurement technology, electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), and power electronics. Day-to-day tasks will involve circuit development, layout design (potentially using tools like Altium Designer), circuit simulation, and potentially software programming for FPGAs or C++. Key qualifications include a university degree in engineering, robust technical knowledge in electronics, and strong organizational and teamwork skills. Required Skills
Education
Completed scientific university education in Engineering (Electrical or Information Technology) or equivalent specialist knowledge, skills, and experience
Experience
- Professional experience in circuit and measurement technology
- Experience in the field of EMC
- Experience in power electronics (preferred)
- Experience in circuit development, layout, and simulation
- Experience with software programming (FPGA, C++ preferred)

Additional
- Independent mobility on and between different sites, as well as within underground accelerator facilities
