This role is ideal for a professional with deep expertise in claim management within the construction industry, specifically focusing on electrical engineering projects. The Claim Manager will be crucial in actively shaping contracts, particularly concerning critical services, and providing technical support during the bidding process by assessing opportunities and risks. Day-to-day responsibilities include continuous project monitoring to prevent and defend against unwarranted claims, managing supplementary claims (Nachträge), reviewing them, and evaluating potential construction process disruptions. A core function is ensuring adherence to project budgets and acting as the central expert for VOB (German Construction Contract Procedures) and supplementary claim management. The role requires a strong background in technical and legal matters, including VOB, BGB (German Civil Code), and HOAI (Fee Structure for Architects and Engineers) knowledge, coupled with professional experience in contractual risk and claims management.
