Job Summary

This role involves taking responsibility for the design, integration, support, and testing of assigned electrical systems and automation components within naval shipbuilding projects. The engineer acts as the primary technical contact for internal and external project stakeholders throughout all project phases, ensuring technical implementation aligns with contractual requirements through close coordination with project partners. A key part of the job involves conducting technical negotiations with suppliers, evaluating proposals in coordination with procurement, and maintaining a focus on both quality and cost-effectiveness. The ideal candidate holds a degree in Electrical Engineering or a comparable technical qualification, possesses deep knowledge of automation systems and switchgear technology, and brings several years of professional experience within the shipbuilding or maritime industry, preferably related to the German Navy. Fluency in both German and English is mandatory, along with a willingness to undertake occasional domestic business travel (approx. 20%).
