Job Summary
This role involves supporting the Building and Environment department for the municipality of Jesteburg, focusing heavily on underground construction and infrastructure maintenance. Day-to-day tasks include processing applications for excavation permits and sidewalk crossings, acting as the road authority (Baulastträger), and managing bridge inspections, including drafting specifications and reviewing bids. The technician will coordinate and supervise construction work on public roads by utility providers, manage maintenance contracts for roads, paths, drainage systems, and green spaces, and oversee the technical condition of rainwater drainage facilities. The ideal candidate holds a qualification as a Certified Construction Technician (Civil Engineering focus) or equivalent, possesses knowledge of municipal administration structures, and is proficient in MS Office. This is a permanent, part-time position (19.5 hours/week) offering a secure role within the public sector, emphasizing work-life balance and located near Hamburg.
