Job Summary
This role seeks a highly qualified Analytical Scientist, ideally holding a degree in Pharmacy, Chemistry, or a related bioanalytical field, to join a state-of-the-art medical laboratory specializing in Forensic Toxicology in Bad Salzuflen. The core responsibilities involve ensuring the quality control of routine forensic analysis, organizing laboratory operations, and driving innovation through the development and validation of new analytical methods. You will utilize advanced chromatographic and mass spectrometric techniques, including LC-MS/MS, GC-MS/MS, and LC-HRMS. Key tasks also include consulting and training clients and personnel, and, following comprehensive training, evaluating complex analysis results from various matrices (e.g., blood, hair, urine). Candidates with a relevant PhD will have the opportunity to author court-admissible expert opinions. Required Skills
Education
University degree in Pharmacy, Chemistry, Food Chemistry, or comparable bioanalytical or forensic-focused course (preferably with a focus on Analytical Chemistry). PhD is advantageous but not required.
Experience
- Extensive analytical experience
- Experience with chromatographic-mass spectrometric measurement procedures
- Professional experience in Forensic Toxicology and Alcoholology (highly advantageous)
- Experience using MS-Office
