Job Summary
This role involves managing and coordinating Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental (QHSE) initiatives, with a strong focus on ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) and Sustainability. The manager will be responsible for coordinating sustainability topics, environmental compliance, and the European Packaging Regulation, acting as the key interface with the corporate group and external bodies. Day-to-day tasks include developing and maintaining environmental management systems (ISO 14001) and energy management systems (ISO 50001), identifying and implementing measures to reduce the company's ecological footprint, and enhancing energy efficiency. A key function is the creation of ESG and sustainability reports in collaboration with management, requiring a degree in a relevant field (e.g., Chemistry, Environmental Science, Engineering) or extensive professional experience in QHSE/ESG, ideally within the chemical or aerosol industry.
Required Skills
Education
Completed degree in Chemistry or a QHSE/ESG-relevant field (e.g., Environmental Science, Ecology, Sustainability Management, Natural or Engineering Sciences)
Experience
- Professional experience in QHSE/ESG management in comparable companies within the chemical industry (alternative to degree)
- Experience in the paint and coatings industry or the aerosol sector (ideal)
- Experience in identifying and implementing energy saving potentials
