Job Summary

This role is for an Operational Technology (OT) Service Technician specializing in industrial computing systems within the ifm group, focusing on maintaining system integrity and operational efficiency. Daily tasks include performing maintenance on industrial computers, analyzing and troubleshooting hardware and software failures, and executing backup creation and restoration processes. The technician is also responsible for the network-side commissioning of new plants, complete pre-installation, and configuration of computers for new facilities, and supporting production-relevant servers and applications. Key qualifications include formal training as an IT Specialist or Technician, coupled with several years of experience in OT and/or IT environments. The position requires a high level of technical understanding across hardware, software, and technical processes, along with strong knowledge of IT technologies like Windows, Linux, and network engineering.
