The Digital Operations Manager will be crucial to the central Digital Hub of a leading German media house, ensuring the stability, reliability, and performance of all web platforms. Daily tasks involve overseeing the operational running of websites, managing technical updates, maintenance, and plugin management for WordPress-based platforms, and serving as the primary contact for 1st and 2nd level technical support for editorial and publishing departments. The role requires expertise in error analysis, troubleshooting, process documentation, and coordinating external service providers for non-WordPress sites. Required Skills
Education
Completed vocational training, university degree, or comparable qualification in Digital Media, Web Technology, (Online) Communication, IT, or equivalent practical experience.
Experience
- Practical experience in operating and supporting websites
- Experience with WordPress (Themes, Plugins, Updates) and typical web setups
- Experience in managing external service providers OR ability to formulate requirements and track implementation
- Experience working with structured support and operational processes
