Job Summary

This role is the first point of contact for all IT-related inquiries, problems, and service requests within the Ulm University Hospital. The IT Service Specialist will primarily handle First-Level Support and Request Fulfillment, focusing on relieving staff of technical and organizational IT burdens. Day-to-day tasks include documenting reports via phone, email, and ticketing systems; analyzing errors; and collaborating with internal specialists and external service providers, both remotely and on-site. Key responsibilities also involve managing user accounts, configuring and installing workstation systems, setting up and dismantling workstations, and documenting standard solutions in the IT Knowledge Base. The ideal candidate holds a qualification in IT specialization (System Integration or Application Development) or equivalent experience, possesses strong knowledge of Windows, MS-Office, and Citrix, and ideally has experience in a clinical environment. Required Skills

Education

Completed vocational training as an IT Specialist (System Integration or Application Development), or a degree/training with a comparable background. ITIL V3 Foundation qualification (desirable).

Experience

  • Professional experience in IT service management, ideally with ITIL V3 Foundation qualification
  • Experience with applications in a clinical environment (desirable)
  • Professional experience in system integration or application development
