Job Summary

This role seeks an experienced Laboratory Engineer specializing in Materials Technology to support a prominent client in the metal industry, focusing heavily on polymers and composite materials. Key responsibilities include planning and coordinating materials technology testing for COSY projects and cost-reduction initiatives, conducting and evaluating material analyses on plastic components, and organizing lab procedures during product development. The engineer will ensure the functionality of laboratory equipment through calibration and maintenance, perform standardized and specific tests on plastics, metals, and composites, and support failure analysis and material selection consultation. Success requires a background in materials science, strong organizational skills, and fluent proficiency in both German and English, utilizing expertise to develop application-specific test methods and provide actionable recommendations to development teams.
