Job Summary
This is a pivotal, full-time, permanent leadership role as Managing Director for the Communal Traffic Safety Association Oberpfalz (Zweckverband), a public authority based in Amberg responsible for traffic safety and regulatory services across over 160 municipalities in Bavaria. The successful candidate will assume overall responsibility for the organization's concept, operations, and leadership of a team of nearly 90 employees. Key daily tasks include overseeing operational business, managing the service operations, and representing the association internally and externally, including before municipal committees and media. The role demands strong strategic thinking, profound knowledge of municipal finance and law, and the ability to demonstrate exceptional commitment and decisiveness. Candidates must possess specific high-level qualifications in public administration, law, or business, coupled with advanced leadership experience, offering a unique opportunity to shape a public authority and drive innovative projects.
Required Skills
Education
Dipl.-Verwaltungswirt (Public Administration Diploma) in Administration and Finance with modular qualification for the 4th qualification level, OR Administrative Specialist (Fachprüfung II) with successful completion of the qualification course for highly responsible (leadership) tasks (QVA-BVS) or readiness to complete it, OR a university degree in Economics, Law, or as a Dipl.-Verwaltungswirt, PLUS additional business qualifications such as Administrative Business Economist (BVS) or Certified Accountant (BVS).
Experience
- Further qualifications and experience in leadership
- Professional experience in municipal budgeting, cash, and accounting systems
- Professional experience in municipal law and double-entry accounting
