Job Summary

Join Daimler Buses, a leading global bus manufacturer and central part of the Daimler Truck network, as a Development Engineer focusing on Drive Inverter components. This role is crucial for advancing sustainable and future-proof mobility by ensuring the functional safety and performance of eDrive systems. Day-to-day, you will coordinate closely with inverter suppliers to meet vehicle and functional safety requirements, manage the creation and maintenance of the safety concept for the entire eDrive system, and collaborate intensely with internal teams (Software, Hardware, System Architecture, Testing). A key responsibility involves coordinating and executing validation tests, including Hardware-in-the-Loop and vehicle tests, culminating in the documentation and release of the high-voltage (HV) inverter and the overall system. Success requires a background in electrical or vehicle engineering, significant experience in functional safety (ISO 26262), and expertise in HV component development and system integration.

Required Skills

Education

Degree in Electrical Engineering, Vehicle Engineering, or comparable field. Certification or qualification as a Safety Engineer or Safety Manager is desirable.

Experience
