Job Summary
This leadership role involves managing and strategically developing the IT and Central Services department for the City of Bad Freienwalde (Oder), serving the administration, four schools, and other facilities. The Head of Department is responsible for ensuring a high-performing and secure IT infrastructure, which includes managing firewalls, switches, Windows/Linux servers, Windows clients, and iOS devices. Day-to-day tasks involve planning and implementing IT projects, providing user support, optimizing existing processes, and managing the department's budget and financial planning. A key requirement is proven professional experience in IT administration, ideally within the public sector, coupled with team leadership skills and strong organizational abilities. Required Skills
Education
Completed degree (Bachelor/Diploma) with an IT focus, or training as an IT Specialist (Fachinformatiker), or comparable qualification
Experience
- Proven professional experience in IT administration
- Experience in team leadership
- Experience in the management of IT projects and service providers
- Experience in the Public Administration sector (ideal)
- Experience with financial software, preferably H&H proDoppik (advantageous)
