Job Summary
The EG Group, a leading international fuel, retail, and food-to-go provider, is seeking a dedicated Tax Specialist to join their Hamburg office. This role is crucial for managing complex tax challenges within their rapidly expanding German network, which includes Esso stations, Burger King, and KFC restaurants. Day-to-day responsibilities involve handling national and international tax inquiries, assisting with tax declarations and calculations for HGB annual financial statements, and maintaining transfer pricing documentation. The ideal candidate possesses deep knowledge of German tax law, familiarity with international tax regulations, and the ability to coordinate audits and communicate effectively with tax authorities. This position offers significant autonomy, a competitive salary (€55,000–€70,000), flexible working hours, and the opportunity to work in a modern, international environment with a hands-on mentality.
Required Skills
Education
Completed training as a Tax Clerk (Steuerfachangestellte/r) with relevant advanced training (e.g., Certified Tax Specialist/Steuerfachwirt) OR successfully passed Tax Consultant examination (Steuerberaterprüfung).
Experience
- Professional experience in a tax consultancy or tax office focusing on corporate taxation
- Experience in coordinating tax audits and communicating with financial authorities
- Experience in preparing tax declarations and calculations for HGB annual financial statements
- Experience in analyzing and evaluating intercompany transactions (national and cross-border)
